New Blog

No, I haven't created yet another blog to not update. I am thinking about writing my own blog in PHP and using mySQL. My idea is to set it up to support multiple accounts so several of my friends can use it. There would be a blog page for each of them, but also a joint blog where one can view all posts. I've always thought those pages are cool. So I am learning PHP right now. I got a book recommended by Tim and it is pretty good so far.

I haven't updated in a while because I've been home. Busy has meant lots of Guild Wars with my guild, which is all my friends. Games are so much fun when you play them with your friends. I finally hit level 20 in GW and it has been a blast. Hopefully our guild will stick together and keep playing the rest of the summer as there is a lot more to do. About half the guild is gone on a mission trip, so things have been slow the last week.

There is a game music concert this next week on Wednesday and I have no one to go with me. Daniel, who would appreciate it the most is in Africa still. Lem is gone for a few weeks visiting his family. My mom said she would go with me.

P.S. Blogger ate a very good post of mine a while back. This makes me sad. I was editing it and messed something up and it is gone. It was titled "Games Made in the Image of Me." I thought it was an excellent long post about the philosophy of designing games. Oh well. Maybe I should save all my posts in a document.

  • Is that concert the one at the Hollywood Bowl? When is it? Man, that would be the BOMB to go to. Seriously.

  • I went to it last night with my dad. There was no one else to go. It was pretty good. My dad says it was the most fun he's had at the Hollywood Bowl.

There were quite a few famous designers there who came out on stage afterwards including but not limited to: Bill Roper (Warcraft and Starcraft), designer of the Metal Gear series, designer of the Sonic the Hedgehog series, designer of Gods of War, co-designers of Halo, and some more. Many composers were also there. There were 30 or 40 altogether.
