There was a Fire in my Dorm

I have what is known around here as "Weekend Wednesday." A lot of classes are scheduled so they aren't on Wednesday. The only class I have is my programming class from 1:30-3:30. So I slept in until around 10:00. Then I read some homework before taking a shower. Right as I finished a shower I heard an alarm go off. This was around 12:00. It was the fire alarm. After I realized what it was, having never been in a fire drill before, I put my clothes on, grabbed my sandals and ran outside. We all stood outside for about five minutes before someone told us someone had burned something in their kitchen, don't do it again, and we could go back inside. Exgagerations about such things being a social event are completely true. Nothing brings people together than wearing clothes they'd rather not wear outside their room, 90% wearing sandals, maybe 60% with a towel, a few without a shirt on due to being woken up by the alarm, and everyone grumpy because they were either in the middle of homework, sleeping, or they were on their way out to eat lunch but hadn't grabbed their ID card so they can't go to the cafeteria until they can get back in their room. (that was a long sentence)

This was such an exciting event for me I had to tell you all. I'm off to go get my breakfast/lunch now.
