Philosophical Rantings of an Engineer

Tuesday Morning

It is Tuesday morning, 7:13, and I have a few minutes before I need to get to breakfast in order to get to class at 8:05. I’ve been here for about three weeks and have only had time to make one post. That is how busy I’ve been. So far my classes are going alright. My math classes are tough. Surprisingly my statics homework over the weekend was challenging. There really isn’t anything more exciting to say about my schoolwork. This place is still amazing.

Notable things I have done since classes started:

This last Friday and Saturday I kept scoreboard for a women’s invitational volleyball tournament. Our school won. Interesting note: our school was the largest out of the six teams, but I’m willing to bet we had fewer girls than the other schools. Ours was the only engineering school.

Two Sundays ago I hitched a ride with a friend I’ve met at InterVaristy events. Several of the professor’s here go there. Apparently many of them also homeschool. After church there was a lunch at one of the professor’s houses for college students. This last Sunday I went back because there was a big pot luck lunch. Good place to meet people.

Intramurals started yesterday. This quarter there is flag football, indoor soccer, and tennis. I didn’t sign up for any. I will be working as intramural staff for work study. Should be fun.

Well I must be off in order to get to breakfast. I have taken a few more pictures but haven’t uploaded them yet.

  • Maybe I need to review my posts before I submit them...
The second notable thing I did was go to a specific church. I never mentioned that anywhere in the original post.
